AGHAM or Alyansa ng mga Grupong Haligi ng Agham at Teknolohiya para sa Mamamayan, a sectoral organization of scientists and professionals, was reestablished on July 9, 2025 at its 2025 Annual Convention in Manila Hotel, City of Manila. The National Executive Council (NEC) and the new officers were elected and has taken their oath of office. On November 6, 2025, the organization was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and renamed AGHAM into Sci&Tech Alyansa Tayo Inc., which is now known as Sci&Tech Philippines.

The story of Sci&Tech Philippines is rooted in the nation’s long aspiration to build a strong scientific and technological culture. In the 1970s, the Philippines was among the leading economies in Asia, second only to Japan in several development indicators. However, decades of underinvestment in science, technology, and innovation limited the country’s capacity for technological advancement and industrial competitiveness.

Recognizing that the future of the Philippines depends on strengthening its scientific foundation, a group of scientists, engineers, STEM educators, professionals, and innovation advocates initiated the science and technology movement to inspire Filipino youth to pursue careers in science, technology, and engineering.

Today, the organization represents a growing national community of scientists, engineers, technologists, STEM educators and professionals, researchers and S&T workers, and advocates of science, technology, and innovation committed to shaping the country’s future through knowledge, innovation, and technological advancement.

Founded on the belief that the future of the nation depends on its scientific and technological capability, Sci&Tech promotes excellence, creativity, and leadership among young Filipinos. Through national programs, mentorship initiatives, innovation challenges, and recognition platforms, Sci&Tech nurtures talent from senior high school to professional stages. The organization serves as a bridge between education, research, and industry, encouraging young people to pursue careers in science and technology while contributing solutions to real societal challenges.

Sci&Tech also works with universities, government agencies, private companies, and international partners to strengthen the Philippine innovation ecosystem. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and a spirit of service, Sci&Tech PH aims to develop a new generation of leaders who will advance national development through science, technology and innovation. At its core, Sci&Tech believes that every Filipino youth and professionals has the potential to innovate, discover, and lead the future.
