Dr. Bernardo D. Tadeo, Ph.D.

Dr. Bernardo Tadeo is an agricultural engineer, technology advocate, and energy professional whose work reflects the practical side of science and engineering for national development. He has been associated with the Philippine Rice Research Institute and was recognized in 2014 with the Felix Maramba Award as Most Outstanding Agricultural Engineer. This honor reflects his contributions to agricultural engineering, a field vital to food production, farm modernization, irrigation, mechanization, and rural productivity. Dr. Tadeo is the President and CEO of Full Advantage Philippine International Inc. and has been involved in technical discussions on renewable energy, including floating solar photovoltaic systems. His professional profile brings together agriculture, engineering, energy systems, and applied technology -- areas that are central to building a more resilient and productive Philippine economy. He earned his master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering at the Kagoshima University, Japan as a Monbusho Scholar, respectively. 


As a National Executive Council member, Dr. Tadeo contributes a strong applied- engineering perspective. His work reminds the public that science and technology are not abstract ideas; they are tools for improving farms, powering communities, strengthening industries, and creating better livelihoods across the country.
